The Ball is the biggest student only outdoor festival in Ireland.
1: LOCATION
Located on the coast of Dublin in Dun Laoghaire Harbour, The Ball festival is bang slap in an old ferry yard. The scenery is unique and unlike traditional Irish music festivals that consist of slippy mucky fields, The Ball is a huge pier surrounded by boats on each side. It’s close too, just ___ on a bus or on a ___ Dart the festival site is just of Dublin city centre. A taxi with four friends would cost around €20.

2: ACTS
The ball features Irish breakthrough act Gavin James headlining. With a mixture of electronic/housey producers, a few fun party nostalgic 90s acts and some upcoming breakthrough artists.
Waze & Odyssey – Bakermat – Route 94 – Klangarussel – Smash Hits – Mark Mc Cabe – Hare Squead – Soule – Jamie Duff – Aikj – Frank Jez – Future Stops & More To Be Announced!
3: FOOD
You won’t go hungry as there’ll be plenty of food & snacks options available. Boojum will be serving up some hefty burritos in their mobile truck & Donut masters Aungier Danger will also be there with multicoloured treats.
4: PRICE
With early bird tickets selling out for €40 and tickets currently only €50. This is one of the cheapest festivals in Ireland and the best value for money. The festival has DART and Dublin Bus services meaning no over-priced private buses.
5: ALL STUDENTS
Being the first major inter-varsity college event, students from colleges all over the country are coming to Dublin. Anyone with a student card can attend The Ball, it doesn’t matter what college you’re from as long as you’re a student!
6: LOVELY CRAIC
The college year is about to end so why not get your class/friends/lovers out for a blowout before you all head off for exams. I must emphasise this is an all day festival, doors open at 2pm and finish at 11pm, so you have over 8 hours of lovely crack to eat burritos/ice cream, enjoy some refreshments, dance to some tunes, get your face painted or do-what-the-helluva-you-want!!
7: AFTER-PARTIES
The festival ends at 11pm but the party will keep going in different venues around Dublin. Expect festival acts and international guests playing all around Ireland. Details for the after-parties will be announced soon.
